◆Intended Use
When an image diagnosis of the chest or abdominal is performed by X-ray CT or digital gamma camera, there has been fears to produce resolution and reproducibility degrades or artifacts under an ordinary performance because the organs should move according to each respiratory motion. Also in irradiation therapy using the equipment like a linear accelerator, when a target located in a movable organ according to respiratory motion needs to be applied to radiation, normal tissues around a focus might be unnecessarily exposed to radiation because the field of irradiation has to be set wider than the actual size of a focus due to its organ’s motion.
This system is designed to offer the solutions to the above issues and to allow optimum gated imaging and radiation therapy.

① Patient with consciousness and being capable to understand and follow the operator’s instruction.
② Patient being capable to remain in quiet on the patient coach during image acquisition and treatment.
③ Patient being capable to remain stable breathing.

The physical part associated with respiratory movement such as abdomen or chest. (The physical part that is detectable for respiratory move movement by the load cell and/ or laser sensor.)

◆Indications
Depending on motion of the patient's abdomen, obtaining the patient's respiratory information, if necessary, the respiratory gating information is provided to the image diagnostic apparatus or radiation therapy equipment.
